Boston Scaffolding Accidents Deadly

Scaffolding accidents are deadly on a construction site and are occuring at an alarming rate in Massachusetts. Despite their common usage and "apparent" safety, scaffolding accidents do occur and often result in the injury or death of workers and bystanders surrounding a construction site. These accidents occur suddenly and without warning which attributes to the fatal nature of scaffolding collapses.

Boston has seen several deadly scaffolding accidents in the past few years. Recently, scaffolding, located near the 14th floor of a construction site in Boston fell to the street killing two construction workers that were on the platform. When the scaffolding hit the street it crushed a Honda sedan, killing a physician on his way to work that morning.

When scaffolding brakes free from a building, there is no time to react or respond. Within seconds lives are taken.

Construction and scaffolding workers must take all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of the workers involved.  Scaffolding accidents are one hundred percent preventable.  Companies whose business practices allow accidents to occur must be held accountable.
